Pakistani’s have very less occasions to celebrate in their busy-stressful routine life and Eid is definitely one of them. After meeting the family, relatives and friends on the first day of Eid and getting done with the Eid rituals, second and third day are mostly spent in hanging out with close friends and family. That is when people dine out or go for a movie. Lately Pakistani cinema came back to life and entertained its audience with few desi clicks other than the usual Hindi movies which used to release in Pakistan on such occasions.
This Eid three urdu , one Punjabi and three Pashto flicks has been released Janaan, Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai, Actor-in-law, Lal Badsha and Pashto Badmashi Ba Mane, Ghulaam and Badmashi Na Manum. Let’s see how the audience reacted to the Urdu flicks.
ZINDAGI KITNI HASEEN HAY
Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hay was a romantic-drama film directed by Anjum Shehzad aka Bobby of Family Front under the production of GEO NETWORK. The lead roles were beautifully played by famous TV actors Sajjal Ali and Feroze Khan. The couple mesmerized the audiences with their charismatic performance and cute on screen chemistry. A couple which part their ways due to financial issues and start their own struggle to go up the lane. This movie gained appreciation by the viewers but it lacked the unique story line. We have seen quite many movies based on the same story line so it was nothing new. This film scored 8 out 0f 10 stars on our rating charts.
ACTOR IN LAW
Actor in Law is no doubt a great treat for Fahad Mustafa’s fans around the world. The hard working actor nailed his performance in the role of Lawyer in this movie. This is a comedy flick directed by Nabeel Qureshi under Urdu 1 production. The main roles in the movie were played by Fahad Mustafa, Om Puri and Mehwish Hayat. According to the audience it was a surprisingly good movie which tackled quite serious issues in a light manner so this one scored 9 out of 10 stars.
Jannan a romantic-comedy film directed by Azfar Jafri was supposed to highlight the beautiful culture of Pakhtoons and the beauty of nothren areas but it i believe he failed to do so. The lead roles were played by Armeena Khan, Bilal Ashraf and Ali Rehman Khan. It was a project of ARY NETWORK. The only good thing other then the flat acting of all the actors was the soulful musical tracks. So we will rate this film 7 out of ten on our rating charts.
We hope that Pakistani film makers will keep up the hard work and wont stop their efforts to make better films in future. Looking forward to more desi flicks in future.
