I Bid You All Adieu-General Raheel Shareef

In a weeks time,one of the most important sons and hero of the nation General Raheel shareef will complete his tenure as an army chief and will hand over the command of Pakistan army to his successor.

The Army chief has already begun rounds of farewell visits across Pakistani cities.Addressing the soldiers,General Raheel said “Accomplishment of peace and stability was NO ORDINARY TASK”.

“Our sacrifices and joint national resolve helped us in off-setting all odds against the country”

Pakistan seem to be very reluctant to bit adieu to the chief of army staff as he has set an example of  honesty & bravery and has proved that one honest leader can actually change the fate of Pakistan and its people.He fulfilled the promises he made to the nation and is leaving behind a legacy for generations to be proud of. During his term as an army chief,Raheel Shareef has seen his popularity grow exponentially.While it is common in many countries to distrust politicians while having complete faith in veterans,in Pakistan the influence and respect enjoyed by the military has long extended into the civilian sphere.And that is what makes the retiring General special:The gains made on the battlefield were successful and tangible -the global index has recorded a drop in terrorist activities in Pakistan for staright two years-but the ability to not take unneccesary liberties beyond what was required of a COAS is what will make General Raheel Shareef stand out from his predecessors.

General Raheel Shareef will retire on November 29th.Commenting on the retirement The spokesperson of the Army Lieutenant-General Asim Bajwa took to twitter ““Army Chief kicks off his farewell visits beginning from Lahore today,” military spokesman , adding that Sharif would meet soldiers on the visits. His prospective successors include Lieutenant General Javed Iqbal Ramday, Lieutenant General Zubair Hayat, Lieutenant General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad and Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
